Difference between trigger and system emails

Both trigger and system emails belong to the category of transactional emails but have some differences:

💬

Trigger emails – are automatic emails sent to users in response to a specific trigger or event associated with them.

Trigger emails help to maintain constant communication with your customers. For example, they may notify users about new visitors on their profiles or remind them about the expiring promotions.

💬

System emails – are automatic emails sent to users in response to their own actions.

The purpose of the system emails is to provide information. For example, such emails may contain instructions for password recovery or messages about successful payments on the platform.

🚧

Users have the option to unsubscribe from trigger emails only. It is not possible to unsubscribe from system emails.
